- Add crab legs (leave in clusters)
- To the pot add 2 cups of water or beer
- Place lid on pot, set burner to medium, and steam for 20 minutes
- After 20 minutes carefully remove lid and add shrimp.
- Place lid back on pot and steam for an additional 10-12 minutes
- While you are waiting, place compound butter in a small saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring occasionally
- After 10-12 minutes turn off the burner, carefully remove the lid, and drain the liquid out into your sink with a strainer underneath to catch any pieces that fall out
- You can either pour the contents directly out onto a table using the included paper or into a large roasting pan or similar vessel.
- Enjoy! When you are finished you can place everything back into the pot and throw it away, or save the pot for storing dry goods (Do not attempt to use the pot more than once)
