  2. Wrap a long strip of crescent roll dough around the hotdog to resemble mummy wrappings. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  3. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake until the dough is golden and cooked, about 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. Using a toothpick, add 'eyes' by dotting each with ketchup or mustard, then serve.

peanut butter apple monsters with pine nuts as teeth

Peanut Butter Apple Monsters

Only a few simple ingredients to make a healthy, adorable Apple monster!

Ingredients:

  • Two granny smith or apples you have on hand, quartered
  • ¼ cup of peanut butter
  • About 40 pine nuts
  • 1-ounce sharp cheddar slices or 1/4th of mango, cut into small triangles
  • 8-16 candy eyeballs

How to:

  1. Cut a 'mouth' or a wedge, out of each apple using a sharp knife. Fill the apple's 'mouth' with peanut butter. Next, press your pine nuts around the edges of your peanut butter for 'teeth,' then use the mango or cheese cut into triangles as tongues by pushing them into the peanut butter. Using a small dot of peanut butter, 'glue' the candy eyes onto the apple, and voila! Tasty treats without any tricks!

Spooky Deviled Eggs

Are you looking for the perfect deviled egg recipe for your next Halloween party? We've got several ideas you and your kids might love! If you already have a favorite deviled egg recipe, you can use that one, or you can use ours below:

Ingredients:

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled, halved, whites and yolks separated
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tsps of Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp salt

For Decorating:

  • Purple, orange, and green food coloring
  • Sliced pimento-stuffed green olives
  • Curly parsley
  • Black sesame seeds
  • Pitted whole black olives

Instructions:

  • Place egg yolks into a bowl, use a fork to crush them until no large chunks remain, then add mayo, mustard, and salt. Stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Decide if you want to use one food coloring or all three. If using one food coloring, there is no need to divide egg yolks. If using all three, divide the yolks into three bowls evenly and add the food coloring into each bowl.

Evil Eyeball Deviled Egg:

  1. Fill an egg white with the purple yolk mixture.
  2. Slice pimento-stuffed green olives crosswise into pieces that resemble eyeballs.
  3. Top each eye with an 'eye.'

Pumpkin Deviled Eggs

  1. Fill an egg white with an orange yolk mixture.
  2. Use a toothpick to draw lines that resemble the creases on a pumpkin
  3. Add the pumpkin 'stem' by sticking a small parsley stem into the egg yolk's top.

Spider Deviled Eggs:

  1. Fill egg white with green yolk mixture.
  2. Cut black olives into 'spider body and legs' by cutting them in half crosswise or lengthwise. Use one or both halves to form the spider's 'body.' Cut remaining olives in half, then very thinly slice olive halves and place around the spider's 'body' as legs.
